From metalworking to chip processing, a continuous evolution
Founded in 1939 by Mr. Henri PETIT-JEAN, the company began its activity in artisanal metalwork and locksmithing. This activity gradually evolved with the manufacture of its first centrifuge for cutting oils in 1948.
In 1956, Henri PETIT-JEAN moved into the industrial sector with the construction of metal structures for factories, the manufacture and installation of elevators, and especially the design of equipment for the machine tool environment for the numerous bar turners in the region. The company then underwent several expansions.
1981 proved to be a busy year: the creation of SARL Henri PETIT-JEAN, the delivery of its first automatic deoiling line, ESSOMATIC, and international expansion, which continued to reach 30% of the company’s turnover. Henri PETIT-JEAN then devoted himself fully to chip processing.

The move to new offices in 1998 was followed in 2003 by the creation of the first FLEXILINE deoiling line, a solution adapted to the evolving needs of its customers.
In 2007, the company became a simplified joint-stock company (S.A.S.) and focused on developing its machine tool peripherals, chip conveyors, oil filtration, and high-pressure lubrication, while also perfecting its chip deoiling systems through a policy of continuous improvement.
A second, modern, and energy-efficient 1,000 m² site was opened in 2016. This one, also located in Magland, is dedicated to painting, machine assembly, and pre-shipment testing.
The family business, which is constantly evolving, now has 21 employees, spread across the design office, research and development, manufacturing, painting, assembly, wiring, after-sales service and administrative services.
